Dear visitor, On this page I will tell you a little about my background and past experience, about my family and life at present, and about my calling and the healing that is happening through me. Obviously there’s a lot to share, but I’ll try to keep it brief.  My name is Laya Sabine Frank, born 44 years ago in Germany, where I grew up and lived most of my adult life. For some years my spouse and I, together with our two daughters, Katey and Becky, aged 15 and 12, have lived in the village of Findhorn, close to Forres in the north of Scotland, but we have now returned to Germany Already at a young age the interests that would shape me into what I am today were born. What came first and has stayed with me ever since, is the love for and deep connection I have with animals. While I grew up there were always at least one dog and several cats in our house, which to me was an ever-present source of comfort and joy. I got my first pony at the age of 13 and since that time horses are a deep passion of mine. They are always very present in my life, and needless to say that I love to ride them. Part of our family now is Chicco, a brown-spotted Dalmatian, and Paula, a lovely French Bulldog. The next milestone in my life I reached at the age of 17, at which time my then boyfriend was diagnosed with cancer and died soon thereafter. This made a deep and lasting impression on me, which led to a sincere longing to grasp the mystery of death and all it entails. It made me look deeper into the field of medicine and health. That’s why I chose to be educated as a health professional. Although I would have preferred to become a nurse at the time, due to circumstances I ended up as a radiographer in stead. I worked in that capacity in various “normal” hospitals over the years, but I became more and more dissatisfied and frustrated with the limitations of regular medicine. This ongoing process culminated in the revelation and gradual acceptance of the gift I received at the time my first daughter was born in 1992. I found myself slowly becoming aware of other realms of being and subtle life energies. New intuitive perceptions were revealed and it took me quite a while to come to terms with that. In order to ground and integrate these abilities into my own body-mind and to find ways to apply them in a practical way to serve others, I attended a variety of courses and workshops on spiritual and energy healing, psychic and personal development, meditation, self-discovery and a formal education in hospice work. All this I managed to do, while simultaneously raising my two daughters and working as a radiographer. Last year circumstances led us towards making a fresh start for our family here in Scotland, in the Moray area, and for a while now it has been made increasingly clear to me that I should start sharing my gift with others, which I have been “doing” since we came here. To “work” like this is in fact more of an inner calling than the ambition to be or become a “great healer”. All I do is follow what life shows me I should do, and do it the best way I possibly can.
